Chinese researchers give details on swine-pandemic flu hybrid
Jun 17, 2010 (CIDRAP News) – Adding more details about a finding announced in February, Chinese researchers said today that a hybrid virus found in Hong Kong pigs contains elements of the 2009 human pandemic flu virus and two swine flu strains, pointing up a need for better surveillance of flu viruses in pigs.

Um… doesn’t that mean the child was Mexican? So, still… no AMERICANS have died from Swine Flu?

Coroner: H1N1 didnt cause womans death
The Teton County coroner has ruled out H1N1 in the death of a 63-year-old woman who died in March. Coroner Bob Campbell said tests completed by state health officials this month show that the woman, Artemia Ramos Garcia, died of pneumonia.

CDC: New England tops in swine flu vaccinations
ATLANTA (AP) – U.S. health officials say New England leads the nation in swine flu vaccinations — while the South has the lowest rates. Rhode Island has the highest vaccination rate — at 39 percent. Mississippi has the lowest rate — at 13 percent.
