Question about swine flu deaths…?

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

according to the health officials, almost all of the people who have died from the swine flu (minus one 31 year old who they’re still doing an autopsy on) are said to have underlying health problems. however, in the case of the 33 year old teacher who was the first US born victim, her husband said she was a healthy, normal pregnant woman… and in the case of the NY assistant principal, their family said he only had gout. Now a 13 year old died and surprise surprise, he had a chronic health problem prior to the flu.

So who is telling the truth? do you think all of these people had underlying health conditions and the families are angry at how slow the responses have been and are trying to incite fear to get them to move faster to avoid panic (the principal’s family have blamed his death on the slow reaction to close the schools) or do you think they’re making up the underlying health issues as a way to NOT incite panic?
oh, and he was a stabbing victim. Overweight, stab victim and sleep apnea doesn’t sound like a “healthy boy”.
all I know is… one 21 year old in Utah recently died. family members say he was severely overweight (which you could tell) and had sleep apnea and another ailiment…

now that they’re mad at the hospital because they released him too early… now they’re saying he was a healthy boy. No body that big is healthy. I’m sorry but obesity is a health problem in itself

so i’m starting to think this is angry family members trying to incite fear to get things done faster.

Why does the CDC not keep record of all swine flu cases, only hospitalizations?

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

Doesnt it sound kinda political?

http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/surveillanceqa.htm

They have not kept track of all cases since July. From April to July there were OVER 1000000 (a million) cases of the swine flu (according to the CDC), and during that time the CDC reported 302 deaths.

So the death rate during that time was a tiny .0302%.

You have to be sick enough to be hospitalized before they include you in their cases, and the numbers used to figured the cases to death ratios.

Doesnt it sounds just a little political or something? They dont handle the regular flu this way, they also include ILI in those graphs and charts and numbers. With H1N1 they have ILI’s and clinic/doctor office confirmed cases in a separate monthly study not included in the overall death rate numbers.

Why scare the crap out of the public, making it seem like all who are exposed will drop dead without any hope of survival unless they are vaccinated? Using numbers like 1% and 3% and huge death rates like that?

I find it all incredibly strange.
